Frequently Asked Questions
How is Experience Nutridge different from a large stage-style luau?
Experience Nutridge is designed as an intimate, backyard-style gathering rather than a large theatrical production. Guests take part in cultural games, workshops, Hawaiian protocols and storytelling in a smaller group setting, with close views of the performers and Honolulu below.
Can dietary restrictions be accommodated at Experience Nutridge?
Vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free and other dietary needs may be accommodated when they are listed in the booking notes at least 48 hours in advance. The buffet normally includes Hawaiian and local dishes such as kalua pork, pulehu chicken, fish, rice, sweet potato, salad and tropical desserts.
Should guests drive themselves or reserve transportation?
Both options are available. Guests may self-drive to Nutridge Estate inside Pu'u Ualaka'a State Park, or reserve roundtrip transportation from select Waikiki-area pickup points. The road up Tantalus is steep and winding, so travelers who prefer not to drive after dark may find the transportation option more convenient.
